CE MARKING FOR ALUMINIUM

The European regulatory framework requires that the CE marking process for structural metal products be carried out in accordance with EN 1090-1 Certification of conformity of factory production control for structural components, in our case aluminium. With regard to the realisation of welded structures, or parts thereof, these activities must also out in accordance with UNI EN ISO 3834-3 Quality Management System Certification for welding activities for metal carpentry and required for managing the production of assembled structural metal products through welded joints.

In particular, the EN 1090-1 standard establishes the requirements and procedures for affixing the CE marking in accordance with European Regulation (EU) no. 305/2011. The manufacturer initially qualifies its products through type testing or calculations, and certifies its FPC (Factory Production Control) via an authorised Notified Body.

Holzhof is certified to manufacture structural components up to execution class EXC2.

EN 1090-1 Certificate

The * UNI EN ISO 3834-3 standard specifically aims to:

• ensure the company’s competence and the application of proper control over welding, providing a method to demonstrate the ability to manufacture quality products as specified (according to voluntary and/or mandatory requirements).
• guarantee customers that the manufactured products meet the established quality requirements.
• verify the methods used for the production and inspection of the manufactured products.
• ensure that the construction phase is feasible and aligned with the design, confirming that the production of the components is carried out in a way that ensures the safety of the both workers and the end users.
